Really neat leaves!
I have had this baby for a month. I'm new to violets and bought it to have something different. The varigation is beautiful and each leaf, once it grows bigger has a little set of what looks like tiny leaflets behind the big one. After a lot of research I found out this is common on wasp flower type violets and it's called a bustle leaf. (posting this for any other newbies) So far no buds but it's growing and adding new strong leaves and it is healthy. So I'm sure blooms will come with time and patience.
The Green Wasp
Beautiful semi-miniature with variegated foliage and white wasp flowers with green petal tips. If you want something different in your African violet collection, this plant is for you. As usual, the plant arrived healthy and was packaged superbly. Highly recommended!
slow grower but very cute
This was the smallest of the plants that arrived in my first order and has stayed the smallest. It is growing quite slowly compared to the other violets, no signs of flowering any time soon. However, it has extremely cute and round little baby leaves with the tiniest hints of variegation on the edges and the nicest bright apple green color. I'm hoping as it gets bigger that I see the serration and variegation more prominently.
Not your usual African violet
I had Senk's Vespa Verde a few years ago and loved how unusual it was. Sadly, I lost that plant and I'm thrilled to get it again.
Elegant
This is an elegant-looking plant, with subtle, sophisticated form and colors. The green-edged flowers and white-edged leaves complement each other, and the wasp flowers are delicate, but noticeable. It blooms easily under my sometimes-less-than-perfect care. For me, the foliage is sometimes bustle-backed, and can be a little unruly. That doesn't bother me, but it's something to be aware of.
