Big blooms and bright colors adds delight into the room! You won't regret buying any of the african voikets from The Voilet Barn; healthy plants and great service and unique plants!!!!

Large and flashy pink!

I got this plant as a freebie with an order and wow - it was a sweet plant! Big, wavy leaves and hot pink blooms - my only critique of this plant was that the blooms were so large they dropped onto the petals instead of being held high. However, that didn’t diminish my love of it! Thanks Violet Barn, you never disappoint! Unfortunately, this plant didn’t survive the latest move with me. :(

Great Gift!

I received this as a freebie from Violet Barn last Oct 2019 when I posted an AV review here in their website. Now 4 months later it has grown to a nicely symmetrical plant with an 11 inch diameter. It is perfectly symmetrical and honestly I didn't do much in terms of grooming. The leaves are a nice medium green with some scalloping on the edges. It is now blooming for the first time for me and the color is an amazing bright pink. Each blossom is anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 inches across. Each flower stalk has about 4-5 flowers/buds. Haven't seen yet the "thinly edged green" described above but probably next blooming cycle. Nevertheless, a beautiful plant that I have to thank Violet Barn for!

One of my first, now favorites.

I was just starting to try my hand at growing African Violets when i ordered Neon Carnation. Poor thing suffered through my learning curve and was in pretty sad shape before I figured out my watering, lighting and humidity issues. It survived and is just gorgeous now, big bright pink blossoms cover it. Definitely one of my favorites now.

blooms look different than here

mine bloomed once but the blooms looked like little diseased cabbages and they never did full out like the picture shown here so I got rid of it. Maybe not enough sun here in Pac NW?
