Pretty as a Picture
Very pretty -more deep pink with white splashes than coral red blooms on my plant. It is a fast grower and doesn’t seem fussy. This AV has thrived this winter when many of my other violets struggled a bit because of the very low humidity in my house. Seems to be a variety that a new grower could handle. Looking forward to more blooms and growth.
Reserving judgement
This is a sought-after variety and I bought two plants…they’re still young, so I’ll give them plenty of time before deciding they live up to the hype or not. I grow under lights and the early blooms are definitely pretty, but not nearly as intense as photos on the internet (not just here!) would have it appear. The blooms are tiny, too. (This is not because the plants are babies…lots of other varieties are huge overachievers with their very first blooms.) Foliage is neat and unremarkable. I think the variety has potential, but let’s see what mine look like when they’re mature.
