Cute and Long-lived Pet
A sad update to report is that my Chidori petrocosmea of seven great years has unfortunately died. However, all is not lost because I can get it again from the Violet Barn, my one stop shop for Gesneriads and other interesting house plants! Cute and long-lived, I highly recommend adding Chidori to your petrocosmea collection.
Petrocosmea Unlike Any Other!
This Petrocosmea has rounded, emerald green, pebbled, somewhat succulent foliage with hairs mostly along the leaves' edges. It forms a flat rosette (unlike the picture) and seems to be a bit larger growing than other hybrids I have. I have yet to see it flower but I am enjoying its unique look, which is unlike any other Pet I have. Well worth adding to any Gesneriad collection, Chidori will not disappoint.
