Absolutely Stunning
I actually bought this variety off of Etsy, not knowing where they originated...so happy to find the people that bred this variety. Until a few months ago, I had never heard of or seen a Streptocarpus plant. Now, along with orchids and violets, my house is bursting with such beauty. This was one of the first Streptocarpus that I bought. It started blooming a few weeks after I got it and the red in this is so deep, deeper than the image posted here, a red you would expect to see worn by royalty. I took some pics of mine and shared it with some friends; now they are all wanting one themselves. As I found more varieties on Etsy, I noticed that I was always drawn to the ones with "Bristols" as part of the name, and I have a few others. I have been a diehard fan of purple for years, decades even, but the Bristols Red Rooster does not take a backseat to purple at all. It sits proudly by my Bristols Hey Mei, both in bloom!!!

I ordered quite a few at once. This was one of the first to bloom. It’s a lovely striking red.

I got this plant in June and I was going to wait for blooms to review it, but I'm so happy with it that I can't wait. It arrived so healthy and it is simply thriving, despite the fact that it's one of my first gesneriads. Today I observed the first buds beginning to emerge, and I can't wait to see the color!

I was SO happy when this bloomed for me recently. The color was so great, loving all my plants from The Violet Barn! Thanks for such great plants. :-)
Elegant deep red velvet, almost shimmers!
My new favorite, looks like silky, soft plush velvet! Much prettier than the pictures.
