So easy to grow
I don't understand why everyone doesn't have a streptocarpus. They require minimal care and reward you with such long-lasting beauty. Like their relative the African violet, Strep blooms last a long time and new buds and blossums appear almost continuously. Ambra is one of the largest and prettiest in the collection. Yes, the plants are small on arrival but are so healthy that in a month or two, the blooms start and just keep coming. If you do run into trouble, the customer service at Violet Barn is the best. Rob gets back quickly with responses and he is extremely helpful.

I didn't really know what to expect when I ordered this plant. Streps are new to me. I was admittedly a bit disappointed when I opened the box and found a 12 dollar leaf. But I figured with patience it would hopefully become something beautiful. In a little over 2 1/2 months it has grown a few more leaves and put out its first bloom! It looks just like the picture. I can't wait to see it develop into a mature plant. I know its going to be beautiful. Very exciting to discover these amazing plants. I've already ordered a few more.

This was my first strep and it has survived my inexperience care and still bloomed many times! Every time I am amazed by the blooms on this plant--they are stunning!! Highly recommend both this plant and the Violet Barn!
Breathtaking...
Wrote a review...forgot to click the starts! This is a plant I ordered last year. After sulking for a while it is now on it's way to becoming a favorite with three big blooms that are just as pictured. It has nice robust leaves to support those gorgeous blooms. I may wish I gave it all 5 stars! It's a beauty...

This Strep is quietly beautiful. So far it's a bit of a shy bloomer but it's a small plant. It's got buds right now, so I may "re-review" it at some point.
