Kanlangadoo review
I bought this in Detroit as I was fascinated with the leaves and wanted to test them. It is definitely a chimera, no doubt. All leaves produced solid green babies. The leaves are incredibly cool and this is the best part of the plant. It doesn't need to bloom to make me happy, every leaf is different. I does seem a tad picky though and is not one of the easier Rob's I have grown. I have move it to natural light as it doesn't seem to like my stands and it is doing much better. I give it five stars as I love the leaf patterns.
Best Robs trailer yet; get one!
5-star plant! This 2-star photo doesn't even begin to do it justice. Hopefully new photos will be added here in the near future. Kalangadoo is the most striking - and certainly the most unusual - "Rob's" trailer yet. Glowing mosaic foliage, double fantasy blooms, fast grower, perfect trailer...it's an absolute must-have. Foliage has well-defined gold and bright green variegation, reliably present on each leaf. Leaf margins are somewhat serrated and quite pointed, which makes for an unusual leaf shape, sometimes reminiscent of maple leaves. When backlit with early-morning light, foliage glows with bold mosaic variegation. The blooms have a light orchid background reliably streaked and marbled with blue fantasy, not the garish shade shown in this photo. Blooms compliment the foliage well and are in constant good supply. The plant grows quickly and makes new crowns readily. New crowns on mine have been produced densely and at ground level, thus requiring little to no grooming to fill a pot with well-mannered growth. Buds and blooms appear even on tiny new crowns. This is a very easy-growing trailer. This plant will make a hanging basket like no other. If you grow any trailers, or if you're a fan of mosaic foliage, or if you want a truly unique violet, don't miss this one. Just get it; you won't regret it!
