Bristol's Nightfall

Stunning plant.  Very dark blue blooms with thick black veining on bright yellow throat.  Extremely heavy bloomer.  Foliage will often show streaks and flecks of (sometimes heavy) variegation when young.  Larger grower.

Striking!

Truly striking blooms! I'm back to buy this plant again after losing it because the the blooms are just so vivid!

Beautiful

Love this Streptocarpus! I have had this one for about 2-3 months now and it has grown quite a bit. There are a lot of bloom stalks about to bloom so super excited to see them all. Definitely would buy again!

Striking!!!

Vibrant indigo/blue blooms with a streaked throat of yellow and dark, dark purple. Love it next to my Salmon Sunset from the same order.

Great color and pattern!

The purple and yellow streps seem to be my favorite and this is a good one. The complementary colors in combination each make the other appear more vivid than either would alone. I like how the yellow on this one retains it's color for a long time, unlike some yellows streps. I also love the bold dark markings in the center. Keep up the good work!

So vivid you can't believe it's real

The flowers on this strep are BOLD! They stand out as if they were painted-the blue/purple is dark and rich, and the yellow is a stunning neon contrast. And best of all it isn't tempermental, like some varieties can be! I replanted it shortly after getting my young plant and it took off, blooming heavily for the next month or so. It's resting right now, but I'm looking forward to its next show!

Incredibly beautiful!

This plant blooms right after I received it. I can't believe it blooms at such a young age with two incredibly beautiful flowers and the colors were almost neon! I'm looking forward to many more flowers on a mature plant!

Variagated pretty foliage!

I have had this plant for about a year. It took a few months to bloom but it has been blooming ever since. It has the deepest blue flowers and they are abundant! Definitely one of my favorite of the 30 streps I own!

Very Hardy Plant

Upon receiving my Bristol's Nightfall, it had one small bloom that was about to open. Within a few days, I accidentally left my window open and strong gust of wind knocked over my plant, breaking off a leaf and the bloom and causing the plant to fall out of the pot. This little guy has fully recovered from what I thought was a fatal fall, and has grown back his leaves and is getting ready to bloom again. I highly recommend ordering from the Violet Barn! I am very impressed with their selection of plants, the quality of their plants and their packaging, and their customer service.

Thefirst strep I grew

This was the first strep I ever purchased, many years ago. The blooms are very eye-catching, and the plant remains compact. I think I need to have it again in my collection!

beautiful foilage

This plant is such a treat. The description of the foliage is correct, there is some variegation in the young leaves. very pretty and I can not wait until it blooms!

Had to have this again!

Brought this home from a flower show many years ago. What a wonderful flower. It was easier than my violets and much prettier. Lost it when I neglected my indoor plants during some busy life times. I am retired now and excited to start over with some new babies.

Deep color

I waited many months for this plant to be in-stock at the same time as I had money. The color of the close up photo is much truer to life, the flower is a Deep purple that is tinged with blue. Reminds me a lot of a Delphinium flower and since I love those It was well worth the wait for this one.

Nightfall stands the test of time

I've been growing Bristol's Nightfall for many many years. It has great foliage and form and heavy bloom count. The color is gorgeous. I've had many streps come and go but this one will always be on my plant stand.

A Favorite!

I lost several streps last winter when I was away, and my substitute waterer missed a few! I love the blue color of this strep and the contrast with the touch of bright yellow. I am ordering another one!

Janet Cunningham Oct 26 2016, 09:37 AM

Stunning!

This plant is a heavy bloomer and the flowers are a stunning combination of blue and yellow. I have many Streptocarpus, this one's my favourite.

Beautiful

I received this plant as a freebie, and it is one of my favorites. The bright yellow against the dark blueish-purple is absolutely stunning. And double blooms on each stem! Nightfall is quite the show off!

Fantastic Color!

This plant is so bright and beautiful. Makes my day!

An all-time favorite!

This strep is one of my all-time favorites! You simply can't go wrong with the bold, true-blue color and prolific blooming ability of this one! No matter how fancy the new hybrids get, Bristol's Nightfall will always be one of the best and on my shelf!

NIGHTFALL

I have had this strep for a year and it impresses everyone who sees it. The black makings in the yellow throat make a stunning contrast to the dark violet blue petals. A beautiful variety that is in a class of its own.

RITA PEARL Jul 18 2012, 11:14 AM

Stunning!

Very healthy, strong grower with oodles of long lasting flowers held nicely above the foliage.
