Frosty Cherry

What a Surprise!

I ordered this little beauty the week b4 last, and it came with a surprise. It had a huge bud on it with three others popping their little heads up in the soil. And such a gorgeous flower-the bud started opening a day ago and the colors are just beautiful. So far, this is the 4th violet I have purchased from the Violet Barn, and I am still waiting for the 3 others to produce flowers. This last violet arrived in perfect condition as did all the others. The packaging is first rate. I can see that the Frosty Cherry will be my favorite. It is even more beautiful than the pictures.

Puzzling flowers???

First of all, the foliage on this plant is very nice. Medium green color, grows in a symmetrical pattern that is both beautiful to look at and easy to care for. However, the flowers on this plant the four times that it has bloomed are not true to the description. Always blooms dark/dusky pink and a lighter pink instead of the white and dark pink shown in the picture and described by others comments. I grow my AV’s in natural indirect eastern exposure windows at my home. These blooms are both beautiful and long lasting, but I am disappointed. Before ordering another I think I will try propagating a leaf to see what happens.

This plant is absolutely beautiful, and so hardy! If you're new to Russians I 100% recommend this one!

Easy grower

Quick grower, I gave it as a gift to my sister. You can't really tell by the picture but the leaves have a red undertone. Looking forward to it blooming!

Star Struck

This violet never fails to wow me!! I can’t see any others in a room when she is there. Just amazing colors and quality in this violet. I will be sending photos of my plant to my yarn dyer in hopes she can come close to matching this violet’s colors in yarn.

So Pretty

A charming plant that is easy to take care of. The leaves shape well, and it blooms regularly. The ratio of red to cream on the flowers changes in different seasons and temperatures. Mine has been more red than cream lately.

Packs a punch

Gorgeous flowers remind me of vanilla ice cream and strawberry syrup. Purchased plant last year from rob and love the flowers and leaves. Good form and stays petite for a standard plant, leaving more room for more of robs violets

Easy grower

This was the first Russian hybrid in my African Violet collection, and I love it! It is very interesting to observe the petals changing color as it gets warmer - from pale pink to true crimson print on the white background. Compact standard rosette showcases large blooms - beautiful plant!

Frosty Cherry...real winner!

i received a Frosty Cherry with my last order....Compared to some other AV I have, its a fast grower, not only growing fast, its already blooming. The rich green leaves are coming out very quickly, forming a beautiful full plant. and the bloom stems keep rising up. Its blossoms are plentiful, large, and have very intense color. Even though there is no fragrance, because of its looks..... you cant help bury your nose in the beautiful blooms hoping........ Within a short time this one will be a shop stopper for sure.........Thank You Violet Barn.................Rick Lalor

Love it!

Beautiful full blooms open cherry red then age to light burgundy with white edge. Nearly constant bloomer for me. So much prettier than the picture.

Favorite

I got this plant in June and it started blooming in August and hasn't stopped. The blooms are just beautiful and it seems easy to grow.

Frosty Cherry Russian

Another beautiful, hardy Russian that has become one of favorites. The picture here does not do it justice. Mine is a much darker cherry color with wide, white ruffled edges, very unique. Produces lots of fast growing suckers and cultivates easily from leaves.

Gorgeous!

This was my first Russian violet, and my favorite. Huge, healthy rigorous grower and beautiful bloomer with super large blossoms. It is always a head-turner!
