Strong Girl!
Although USPS sent my box to PA via Las Vegas in the heat of the summer this girl bounced right back. Her girl foliage is well behaved and strong. She propagates very easily. I haven’t seen any blooms as yet, because my plant is still very young. I can tell she’ll be a compact, tidy grower, which I like. Come on blooms! Really, I love her, even without them. I can’t wait until Violet Barn starts putting out more of Ma’s again.
Beautiful Girl!!!
Ma's Melody Girl arrived in perfect condition. I love how the blooms match the center of the foliage. She's a great addition to my collection.
An apt name.
Ma’s Melody Girl would be a pianist if she were human. A doctor ( botany) working at Oklahoma State University introduced me to Ma’s Melody Girl. So what is a melody? A melody is a collection of notes, or tone. She is certainly that. Ma’s Melody Girl has helped educate university students! She’s a great example in many ways. She does well in tissue culture. She is a hardy plant. She has glossy unique foliage. Her eye catching coloring is contrasted further by white. She has a wonderful growing habit. I dare say she is a little orchestra.
Beautiful little girl
Just love the foliage and compact size of this small AV!!! Flowers are as pictured, beautiful and long lasting. Highly recommend.
Perfect foliage, blooms, & size!
I already have a violet like this and just ordered another. I love the glossy, quilted, wavy leaves with lighter green veins in the center. They're a great pleasure to look at even if the plant didn't also have gorgeous blooms! I hope Violet Barn always carries these. The "small growing standard" size is perfect for me, as I want to keep all my violets in 4" pots, yet my shelves don't permit huge 12" wide plants in every slot. Violet Barn, thanks for selling some wonderful compact violets!
