Average Rating 4.6 out of 5

Kings Randsom SJ 29 Aug 2019

Kings Random is the king of my collection. He has huge blooms with a brilliant pink. This is one of my favorite violets.

Huuuugeeee

My plantlet grew quickly and easily. I had to put it in my magic window at work to bring it into bloom (I have shade trees at home). But boy, when it did bloom it was awesome! The blooms were plentiful and as big as small oranges. They were all white ... I'm hoping the second bloom will be true. My house and office are both kind of cold so I'm used to a lot of white. The leaves are now as big as a hand spade. Thanks for this healthy large standard!

My favorite

I got Kings Ransom from Violet Barn last fall. I am new to African Violets so was skeptical it came in a small pot and not a lot of leaves. Well I can tell you these photos don't do justice to the awesome flowers I already have covering the plant. The color is wonderful and the plant is perfect.

Super Large Blooms

This plant produces super large blooms that are amazing. I first saw this plant at a friend's home and had to have it for myself. Violet Barn always has the BEST selection of plants.

Kings Ransom

I received two of this plant a year ago. I have about 30 plants, all from Violet Barn and all are performing wonderfully. These two never bloomed, the foliage is not even resembling an African Violet. There are big ones and small ones. The big ones are facing different diections.

King's Ransom

I just purchased this plant about a month ago so I can't say about the blooms yet but love the sturdy rich dark leaves. It is a robust plant and I already love it.

My first African Violet

This was given to me as a gift a couple months ago. It's a very lovely plant and doing quite well. I love the color and it has been in bloom since I got it. As an African violet beginner, I highly recommend it.

Beautiful blooms are just covering the plant. Flowers easily and the blooms are huge!

It's a Monster!

Everything about this plant is huge! The massive leaves have reached a diameter of fifteen inches with only two rows and grows a bit open but nicely circular. The huge blossoms, up to nearly three inches, are long lasting, prolific and delicately colored. This one is well worth a try if you have lots of room for it.

Big beautiful plant

I have had Kings Ransom (KR) for more than a year now. The plant needs more food and water than my other plants, probably because she produces the biggest most amazing blooms. Also, buy a leaf support ring for this one.

Amazing display & tough

I've had Kings Ransom for a year now and she has never stopped blooming. The leaves grow up and symmetrical, the flowers are huge, but are on thick stalks so they don't tip over as easily as some other big bloomers. Also, the plant uses more water than my others, and once I let KR dry out so much that the outer leaves grew limp, but, she came back and has been fine since so I think I will call Kings Ransom "hardy".

Pink is in!

Beautiful plant with beautiful flowers. The blooms are large, a very soft shade of pure pink and grow above the plant making them very showy in a collection. The blooms are longlasting and mine has been a prolific bloomer.
