Bright red, tubular, hooded blooms.  Narrow, medium-dark green, spear shaped leaves and stiff, dark stems.  Native to Brazil.  Vigorous grower and can be a constant bloomer.

Great bloomer

This has been blooming pretty consistently for me in a city apartment window with supplementary lighting from a desk lamp. Beautiful plant!
