Beautiful!
I ordered robs outer orbit along with a few other violets and it is absolutely gorgeous! Such beautiful foliage, with the pink and green Variegated leaves. Can't wait till she blooms!
Beautiful little violet!
Love this one, it grows very symmetrically and blooms often. It is just gorgeous!
Very fine variety
Flowers are surprisingly large for the small plant, nice dark blue flecked and spattered with white. Very compact grower,
Pretty blooms
This plant arrived safely and very healthy already in bloom. The blooms are very nice but this plant arrived with no leaf variegation at all. (VB note: variegation will appear when temperatures are cooler--our summer temps are too warm)

I haven’t been without a Rob’s Outer Orbit for years. The plant has everything you’d want - naturally symmetrical foliage, the photo doesn’t show how lovely the variegation is, and the flowers are beautiful. A great plant.

Out of this world
Everything about this plant is beautiful so even when it’s not in bloom it’s a real treat. Like it so much I’m ordering another for a friend who, I’ve gotten interested in violets.
All Time Favorite!
I’ve had this plant for several years, and it’s one of my best performers. Always grows straight and symmetrical, and the flowers are fabulous! The puff fantasy is generous and seems quite stable — recently I started 3 new plants from a leaf, and all have really nice fantasy. It’s not a constant bloomer — puts up a nice show of blooms, then rests for a bit.
Nice Leaves
This one is very cute and has a nice shape, but doesn’t seem very excited about blooming. I’ve had it for a year and it has bloomed once in that time. I do enjoy the foliage and maybe I just need to give it some fertilizer.
All in one!
Rob’s Outer Orbit has variegated symmetrical foliage, rather large flowers for a semi, and even pink puffs, all in one package! I like it so well, I have 2 of them! To me, it looks similar to Rob’s Astro Zombie, but I think this one’s the better choice because of the variegated leaves.

My first semiminiature violet, beautiful dark leaves and something different from my minis. I can't wait for the blooms!
Rob’s Outer Orbit
This is still a small plant so hasn’t had a chance to develop blooms as yet. With nice dark leaves it has real promise of become outstanding.
Such pretty leaves
I haven't managed to get this one to bloom yet, but I also nearly lost it over the winter (my own fault!) so it has only started to really grow. It is doing much better under grow lights and the leaves have lovely TL variegation and lie very nicely in their rosette. Looking forward to the blooms!

This little plant has the most wonderful blooms on a mini! They are HUGE for the size of the plant! I LOVE it!
Outstanding hybrid
The blooms on this hybrid are very unusual, I have never seen any other variety bloom quite like that. The colors on the flower petals makes the flowers look 3D, and the white pencil border adds sharp definition to each bloom. The foliage variegation is beautiful, as well. All in all - truly spectacular!
Amazing foliage... but no blooms
This plant has beautiful variegation, and the form is great as well... But no blooms. I have had it for the better part of a year, tried different light... etc, but no blooms.
Breathtaking
I've had this plant for a couple of years and it's one variety that stands out in my collection. I first saw it at an AVSA convention and knew I had to have one. The flowers are stable, don't revert to solid blue like some other fantasies and the foliage variegation is also stable and doesn't disappear in warmer weather. Basically I love the plant!
A Stunning African Violet!
My Rob's Outer Orbit African Violet arrived in bloom, with flowers almost identical to the ones in the photo with this listing. What makes this plant even more special is the pink edging on the variegated leaves. This plant really stands out and is one of my favorites.
Shy Bloomer, but totally worth it!
Very striking blooms, excellent variegate even in warm temps. I grew several from a leaf cutting and all but one bloomed true.
Update on previous review - "Beautiful plant but a bit challenging"
Update - After removing all the roots and the droopy flowers and securing a plastic bag around this little guy's pot to increase the humidity (I also kept it under a cheap growth light for 12h per day) for a little over a month, it has grown some new roots (at least enough to anchor it in its pot) and it even has some tiny developing flower buds! I didn't even have to use any rooting hormone, just kept the soil moist with diluted AV fertilizer. Hoping I can keep the plant healthy for a long time to come!
Beautiful plant but a bit challenging
I bought this plant after much success with my first AV. It was so little when I got it, but it already had a flower! It grew well for several months in a self-watering pot. The original flower died and it took forever to bloom again. When it finally bloomed, the flowers were droopy. I figured it may have had root rot, so I took it out of the pot and sure enough, all of the roots were rotten (which was probably more due to my inexperience than any fault with the plant when I got it). Had to cut all the roots off. The poor thing is now in recovery - I'm hoping it will put out some new roots. If it doesn't, I'll definitely buy another one because it's so gorgeous. Bottom line, if you buy this plant, make sure you're taking proper care of it (use the right kind of soil, use a self-watering pot, etc).
Excellent Foliage
I bought this plant in part because I loved the bloom, but more because I looked forward to the TL variegation. The foliage has not disappointed! It has been healthy, not too white or nonexistent, and hasn't required maintenance to correct problems. Propagates from a leaf easily as well.

Unusual bloom
I received this plant at a recent show. Blooms are unusual and as pictured. Foliage is lightly variegated but that could be to a young plant. A pleasing addition only to improve over time.
LOVE IT
This particular semi mini always astonishes me! Each bloom is different and the contrast between the flower color and fantasy puffs is just amazing! This is a real "have to have" semi!
not a good one for me
I received this plant about 10 months ago. it has not done well at all. it isn't growing or blooming. I don't know what the problem is. I treat it the same as my other minis, but it has a " failure to thrive". the picture is pretty; just wish it looked the same in my home
Loved This One!
I grew this one for years. It seemed to like the center of my lights, where the variegation showed off and it bloomed like crazy. This was one of my favorite "Rob's." Beautiful plant with the variegated foliage and fantasy flowers.
My favorite Semimini
This is my favorite semi mini. It grows perfectly symmetrical, the blossoms are stunning. A blue ribbon winner every time.
nice foliage
Nice symmetrical foliage and variegated with pink, cream and white. However, Ive had the same plant for over a year and it has not bloomed at all. All my other plants are blooming and are under the same conditions so Im not sure what is going on with this one.
Very Pretty
As stunning as the picture. Arrived in fantastic condition and thriving. The leaves have a pretty pink spottling to them. Would recommend for any AV collection.
Will become a favourite
Distinctive blooms, symmetrical foliage and easy to grow. I will always have this one in my collection. I just wish that it were easier to propagate. All the leaves I put down seem to rot.
My favorite miniature
He blooms are so bright and cheery and the leaves have a nice color and size. This is one of my favorites in my collection.

Lovely Plant
I received this plant from VB in mid-July, so now, in early November, it still hasn't bloomed. I'm doing my best to wait patiently! The foliage is very pretty, a khaki-green with a little pinkish variegation and pale backing. Its newest foliage is a darker green with a blush-purple backing and stem, which is really beautiful. The quilting is very gentle, not pebbly like it looks in the photo, and adds greatly to the plant's attractiveness. I've been getting a little cupping in the leaves, but this is almost certainly a cultural thing…I'm new to AVs! I grow under glass, which seems to be helping this little guy stay a happy plant. All in all, I'm very happy with it!
Breathtaking
Just received this plant yesterday, already with blooms. No sign yet of the pink fantasy or white edge(probably because it's such a baby.)It was still a breathtaking plant when I unwrapped it. Actually what I said was, "Holy cr*p!" Gorgeous, large, deep blue bloom. But what really blew me away was the purple variegation on the dark, velvety leaves! I can't wait to see what it does when it grows up!
Rob's Outer Orbit
I had this violet several years ago and it was so beautiful! It bloomed true every time and was very easy to grow. When I moved I couldn't take my violets with me so now I am ordering again to restart my violet collection. I love Rob's minis!

Stunning blooms, and the little rounded foliage is just precious. Delights me every time I see it.
