Mother's Day Gift
My 91-year old mother is an avid outdoor flower gardener during the spring and summer. We live in Pennsylvania so, to satisfy her gardening needs, she resorts to indoor gardening during the off-season. African violets are her favorite indoors. She lost quite a few this past winter when our furnace died, so I decided to surprise her with a new assortment for Mother's Day. I was thrilled when I found The Violet Barn on-line, and when I spotted Rob's Fuddy Duddy, I knew I HAD to include it. Its subtle bluish purple flowers are very reminiscent of her beloved wild native violets. I also bought six other violets, potting soil, the pots, and the book about African violets . . . and she was thrilled with the gift! Everything arrived in perfect condition and just in time for Mother's Day, as I had planned. I was amazed at how well the plants were packaged and shipped. Each one arrived in perfect shape, though none yet had blooms. She potted them the day after they arrived and all are doing very well a week later. We can hardly wait to see them in bloom!
The perfect miniature!
I've had Rob's Fuddy Duddy for more than 10 years and it's still my favorite miniature! It blooms constantly and has beautiful symmetry. This is one violet I would never part with! It's so hardy, even when neglected it always comes back and performs beautifully!!! I just love, love, love this beautiful little plant!!! Lori Blotz
Fabulous bloom !
I bought three of these two for gifts. They were very nice plants one already had a bloom. within two months the others were blooming and my mothers is a bouquet of blooms Love the color.
Gorgeous Little Plant
I've had this plant for about 6 months, and it's nothing but a happy little fellow. It shapes easily and blooms profusely for a long time. I'm no expert grower and it stays happy in spite of the fact—so, I highly recommend it for novice growers.
Fuddy Duddy
This plant has a very symmetrical form and is covered in small flowers most of the time. It is a beautiful plant and flowers easily.
