Gorgeous little plant, arrived blooming
This was my very first order from The Violet Barn and I will definitely be returning! Of the 7 plants I purchased this one was in bloom when I received it, my package arrived 10-10-24 and everything was packaged so well! I had gloves, googles and a mask on expecting there to be insulation padding inside the box and there wasn't, it was packaged very well and each plant was protected inside a little cardboard box. I'm so happy and excited! This little plant is very stunning and eye catching and it is coming off as a blue/purple with white and the bright yellow center to my eyes. I wish there was a way to upload photos to share! Thanks!
Shirl’s Hawaiian Lei
I am a new customer and this was in my first order from Violet Barn. They are absolutely the best with shipping. Everything arrived in perfect condition right out of the box. This little mini has perfect form and delicate variation on the leaf edges. It arrived with one bud prominently showing and three others hidden underneath the leaves. It is in perfect health, and I can’t wait to see the full potential of blooms. This is such a lovely little plant.

My Shirl's Hawaiian Lei arrived today and came in in great shape. Flower buds present and should be in bloom within a week.

Shirl's Hawaiian Lei is a joy to grow. Perfect, nicely variegated foliage is graced with the prettiest blue flowers ever. The specimen I received in my last order from the Violet Barn arrived undamaged, nicely shaped, and ready to bloom. It has been in constant bloom for months. I love this violet.
Beautiful variety and sooo easy to propagate!
Besides being easy to grow, this perfectly symmetrical, floriferous variety is a great propagator for both the experienced and beginner grower. Flowers can start to appear as soon as 4 months of putting the mother leaf down. Talk about (almost) instant gratification! As an aside, from my experience the plants described as "easy grower", "very profuse bloomer", "one of our very favorites", etc. on the VB website truly do seem to be easier to grow and bloom quicker than others that are not labeled as such so just keep that in mind if seeking out those varieties. And Shirl's Hawaiian Lei is definitely one to seek out!
Well-Behaved Foliage and Attractive Two-Tone Blossoms
I have ordered from The Violet Barn a number of times since 2006. My most recent order was back in April 2016. Although it was a relatively small order of nine plants, the package arrived just as did all my other orders over the years--packaged with extreme care and love. One of the violets, Shirl's Hawaiian Lei, arrived with a slew of tiny buds ready to bloom. I did the usual as I do for any new violet and disbudded before I repotted. It was only 2 months later that she broke out in blooms again. Excellent mini violet with well-behaved foliage and attractive two-tone flowers!
Perfect introduction.
I received this tiny plant as part of my first order. Not only did I receive a completely unmanaged, perfectly shaped starter plan, but it is already beautifully healthy and blooming. After more than a week the blossoms show no sign of fading either. I'm very encouraged that my other very healthy purchases, will do as well.
Starring Role
The eye-popping flowers look like the photo: ah-mazing! And the well-arranged leaves are great supporting players. Thrilled to discover this one!

I bought this plant a little under a year ago. It is gorgeous, the blooms last forever and the foliage has beautiful variegation !! I would highly recommend this violet for any collection !

Cute little violet. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because the leaves are beautiful in the winter but the plant bloom white for me. In the summer it blooms with a thumbprint but the leaves aren't as pretty
My favorite mini
I had this plant several years ago. It was my favorite mini. Have been looking for it for a long time. Beautiful leaves and flowers. I grew it under Florescent light. It was constantly in bloom!

Shirls Hawaiian Lei has bloomed constantly for almost a year, and her baby from an offset has been in constant bloom for several months, too! I highly recommend this lovely violet. Kathy Cray

The flowers on this one last a LONG time. Here at my house I get nice strong pretty variegation. Its adorable!
Beautiful Violet!
The plant was really well wrapped and not injured or broken at all! I got it 3 days ago and I already see buds starting to form!! Really excited to see it bloom!!

Loaded with Blooms
I bought this plant recently and it is constantly in bloom. Not just a few, but loaded. The plant holds the blooms up over the foliage in a very pretty way. The white Center and blue purple edging is beautiful!

One of my favorites! Good Form; Propagates easily; and in some of the propagated plants, the flowers are edged in yellow. A real beauty!
Beautiful Little Violet
I received this plant three weeks ago without any blooms. Now it has one bloom and is covered in buds! The leaves have beautiful symmetry and color. Thrilled to have this one in my collection!
Shirls hawaiian lei
This was a gift 6 months ago. It took me a while to get the watering correct, but it is beautiful today!
