As Lovely As It Gets
What a beautiful plant. Mine’s still young, but is already loaded with blooms and it looks exactly like the photo examples here. (I wish we could share photos with these reviews so you could all see what I mean.) I do grow under lights, but this has nevertheless been a very easy variety…it gets fed, it gets light, and it’s rewarding me by blooming like crazy with huge, dark, frilly flowers. It is already a showstopper. Can’t wait to see what it does in a year or so.
Big, fluffy flowers and beautiful leaves.
My favorite out of my three streps! Big, fluffy, long-lasting flowers that are very showy and immediately won my mom's compliments when she first saw them. Prolific bloomer with up to 4-5 blooms per stem in some cases. The leaves are also very pretty, large, and quilted.
Dark purple with frilly blooms...oh yeah!
This Streptocarpus has stolen my heart. My favorite color is purple and the darker the better. This one knocks it out of the park. The blossoms are dark purple and so frilly plus it blooms all the time for me. The leaves are somewhat quilted which is so cool too. I have over 60 streps and this one is one of my favorites so that's saying a lot. Very striking!
A Bit Challenging
I really love this plant. This is an incredible looking flower. Unfortunately I have not been able to get this one to survive for an extended period of time. It seems as though the plant puts absolutely everything it has into producing such amazing flowers that it slowly starves itself. I'm sure there are people that can easily grow this flower but I found it to be a bit challenging.
